Pokhara to Royal Chitwan - Rafting

Early in the morning, we departed to Royal Chitwan National Park – a natural world heritage. Just left Pokhara Gate for a few minutes, we was able to view the beautiful white moutains. This was the first time we saw white moutains since we arrived Nepal, with the best view. Other times later, we were not lucky enough to see clear view of Annapurna. Well, I guess that it means we have to come back one day to trek up there.

The way from Pokhara to Chitwan is really beautiful and peaceful with the argricultural life, many terraced fields, forests and moutains connected to each other and stretch as far as the eyes can see. Whenever I woke up on the way, I couldn’t help pressing the camera, however, as I was sleepy most of the pictures were blur :)

We stopped haft of the way and then took the rafting to Royal Chitwan. Our driver would take our luggage there and pick us up later. As we need 8 people to do rafting, we had to wait for 3 other people coming from Katmandu to join.

After welcoming a group of 1 Korean, 1 Russian and a Nepali (tourguide for the other 2), we went to the river bank and got ready for the rafting trip. The scene here is really beautiful. We were given each a paddle and a helmet, then gathered for the leader to brief us about the trip and intruct us how to row.

Rowing is not that difficult, and actually is really fun. At this season, the river was quite peaceful so most of the time, we were just floating and enjoying the breathtaking view along the river. The life here is so amazing, along the way you can see many kids playing in the water, they will says hi to you happily and even have a funny naked dance to entertain you (I love this :D) Just a pity that we couldn’t bring the camera out of the safety box to take pictures. In the fierce sections of the river, you have to row hardly under the instruction of the leader to get over it but I do love it, it’s really fun and interesting.

Soon we were accompanied by another boat of 4 Aussie couples. The two boat run into a water fight and had a really fun time together. Then we all stopped at a sand-bank to have lunch. Poof, our rafting guiders tranformed to be chefs within a blink. Amazing huh?

After lunch, we continued our trip for 2 hours more then finally stopped at the end point where my driver picked us up and drove us to our hotel in Royal Chitwan.

Both of us love rafting so much that we decided that we gonna take longer rafting trip at wilder rivers once we have chance without hesitant. Well, I guess I found another addicted activities for me!!
